Kiera sighed and rubbed her bleary eyes as she made another futile attempt to stay awake. Sipping her piping hot coffee, she thought her raw throat might just lose a layer of itself. Staring at the now unintelligble text, she squinted at the shrinking, oozing letters. The ink seemed to move in swirling movements, and the letters intimated that they were ready to jumble up into new words when they bounced. A sudden, unwonted burst of energy surged through Kiera and she looked up from her paper and at the half-finished editorial to the flashing computer 2 new messages! It read in flashing letters... So blatant they were that Kiera wanted to smash her face against the laptop as every precious minute whizzed by Oh, how she hate editing. As big a job as being editor of Scope magazine was, she openly despised, imploringly loathed, and irrevocably was also in love with it. Stress was her friend. It whizzed constantly over her head like a big red balloon warning her of the reiterated deadlines. Oh, the allievation she received from extending her already prolonged deadlines.
Terrible thing, procrastination. Terrible thing were deadlines. To Kiera, both stood like an upcoming and uncontrollable monster that was both inexorable yet at times a temporary relief. Keira just loved stressing. Unhealthy though it was, she just enjoyed the rush of jotting down the last words. And this cycle she so eagerly followed for months.
Life's so not a party for Kiera until she is forced to quit her job for two months. How will Kiera thrive?
